The Wiring

1

70A relay and bottle-cap pressure switch

The OB2 compressor uses a 70A relay in conjunction with a bottle-cap style pressure switch. The OB2 includes a pre-wired socket for the compressor that accepts the included 70A relay. Most of the hard work is taken care of for you out of the box.

Use the correct wire gauge

Air Zenith recommends a minimum wire size of 6 gauge. Anything smaller than this will not work. If you plan to mount the compressor more than 6 feet away from the battery, you must use at least 4 gauge wire. This is extremely important as too small of a wire can become a hazard.

Do not undersize the power wire. Undersized cable can overheat and become a hazard under OB2 load.
