Drain the air tank regularly
The number one enemy of any electrical component is water. Even with a perfect install, moisture from the air still enters the system and collects at the bottom of the tank. As it builds up, it can spread into electrical components and corrode the tank. Drain at least once a month — more often in humid climates.
Loosen the drain cock by turning it clockwise and empty all air and water, then tighten it counter-clockwise when you are done.
