Volunteer firefighter Rick R. Hinzman didn’t just install a horn, he built a fully custom, fire-ready setup in his 2007 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Crew Cab. With a self-fabricated mounting bracket to level the compressor and tilt the air tank for a unique look, Rick’s installation of the Bandit Train Horn Kit is as functional as it is creative.
Running a 4.8L V8 paired with a Flowmaster exhaust, Rick’s truck already turned heads, but now it demands attention. The Bandit 400’s impressive blast ensures nothing and no one, gets in his way when it’s time to respond to a call.
With added amber emergency lights and strobes, Rick’s Silverado does double duty as a street cruiser and an emergency response unit. His story proves that the Bandit 400 isn’t just loud, it’s practical, powerful, and dependable when it matters most.
A Word from the Owner
"I installed this system, the Bandit 400, on April 7th, 2009. The complete install took me about 6 hours because I custom made the bracket in the bed of the truck to keep the compressor unit level while the tank was mounted at an angle to be different. I'm a volunteer firefighter, so I'll be using the Bandit when I'm haulin' to the station to make a fire call!! I stood in front of the truck today and had my wife hit the horn. I knew it was coming, and I knew it would be loud, but let me tell ya—I JUMPED!"
