Frequently Asked Questions
Is the 2-Chime 3-Liter kit a complete system?
Yes. The HK-2CHIME-M3 kit includes the 2-Chime air horns, the AC-M3 3-liter compressor and tank combo, a pre-installed 1/4″ electric air valve, airline, wiring, fuse holder, switch, relay, fittings, mounting hardware, and ear plugs.
How long can I honk with the AC-M3 3-liter air system?
About 4–5 seconds of continuous honk on a full tank, with roughly 35 seconds to recover from 90–120 PSI. Operating pressure is 120 PSI with restart at 90 PSI.
Why is this kit a good fit for a classic Dodge RAM Charger?
The twin-chime horn and compact 3-liter air source are built for tighter installs. Wyatt’s 1989 RAM Charger shows you can run a loud, complete onboard system on a vintage truck without a huge tank footprint.
How should I mount the AC-M3 compressor and tank?
Mount the tank/compressor combo upright in an enclosed space away from moisture, dirt, and debris. The tank-mounted compressor is not fully sealed — following that guidance protects performance and warranty. Do not detach the compressor from the tank.
What electrical requirements does the kit need?
It runs on 12-Volt DC with an 18 amp max draw from the AC-M3 air source. Use the supplied fuse holder, relay, and wiring, and confirm your battery and charging system can support the compressor load.
