PART NUMBER GUIDE

HORN KITS

(HK-S4-244K-STDDK)

All of our horn kits follow the same format of HK-(Horn)-(Tank Size)(Compressor Model)-(Installation Bracket). The train horn kit shown in the photo above is our Conductor’s Special 244K train horn kit. The "HK" in the part number indicates that it is a horn kit. The first two letters of our part number will always tell you what kind of product it is. Other examples are "AH" for air horn ( just the horn by itself) and "HA" for HornAir (onboard air systems). The "S4" in the part number identifies the horn as our Shocker XL train horn. In our full kits, the second section of the part number will tell you what kind of horn is in the kit. Other examples are "K5LA" for the Nathan AirChime train horn and "C3B" for our Outlaw Black train horn. The "2" in 244K tells you that it is a 2-gallon kit. The "444K" identifies the compressor in the kit as the Viair 444K air compressor, with the (K) indicating that this compressor comes in a black finish (also known as our Nightmare Edition). All of our horn kits follow the same format of HK-(Horn)-(Tank Size)(Compressor Model). The letters "STDDK" indicate that this kit comes with our spare tire dual delete bracket.

ONBOARD AIR SYSTEMS

(HA-***)

Our onboard air systems follow a very similar format to our horn kits. The onboard air system shown in the picture above is our HornAir 244K onboard air system. The part number for this kit is HA-244K. As always, the first letters in the part number will tell you what kind of product it is. In this case, “HA” stands for HornAir indicating that this is a HornBlasters brand onboard air system. The “2” in the part number indicates that this system has a 2-gallon tank and the “44” in the part number tells you that it runs a Viair 444C air compressor. The “K” at the end of the part number indicates that the compressor comes in a black finish (also known as our Nightmare Edition).

MAIN COMPONENTS

Train Horns & Air Horns

(AH-S4)

The horns that are shown in the picture are our Shocker XL train horns. Our Shocker XL train horns are the loudest train horns that we manufacture and are hand-tuned to the US train horn chord, just like a real locomotive horn! The part number for our Shocker XL train horn is AH-S4. The "AH" stands for air horn. All our horns that require an air tank (even the train horns) will have “AH” at the beginning of the part number. The only horns that would not have the “AH” at the beginning of the part number would be our electric horns, indicated by the letters “EH”. The letter "S" in the part numbers stands for Shocker, indicating that this horn uses our Shocker XL bells. The “4” at the end of the part number indicates that this horn comes with 4 shocker bells.

Pressure Switch

(PS-150R)

The pressure switch shown in the picture is part number: PS-150R. The letters “PS” stand for pressure switch and the numbers after that (150) stand for the cut-off pressure. The activation pressure will always be 40 PSI lower than the listed cut-off pressure. The activation pressure for this pressure switch would be 110 PSI. The "R" listed at the end stands for relay, as this pressure switch has a built-in 40 amp relay. We also carry pressure switches that do not come with a built-in relay, such as our PS-150, as well as pressure switches with leads (such as the PS-145S, “S” indicating that the pressure switch comes with leads).

Air Valve

(VA-8H)

The solenoid valve shown in the picture is our HornBlasters brass 1/2" electric air valve. The part number for this valve is VA-8H. This valve comes in all of our premium train horn kits. The first two letters in the part number: “VA”, indicate that the part is a solenoid valve. The number “8” in the part number would indicate that the valve has 1/2" NPT ports on either side. The “H” at the end of the part number indicates that this valve is a HornBlasters valve.

Air Tank

(TA-206H)

The part number for our 2-gallon black 6 port air tank is TA-206H. The "TA" stands for tank, indicating that the part is an air tank. The number "2" in the part number indicates the capacity of the air tank. This air tank, for example, has a 2-gallon capacity. We carry tanks from half a gallon all the way up to 20 gallons! The number "06" describes the number of ports that the tank has. In this case, the air tank has 6 ports. For most horn kits, you would want at least a 1.5-gallon tank and 5 ports. The last letter in the part number, the letter “H”, indicates that it is a HornBlasters brand air tank. We also carry Viair brand air tanks, such as the TA-206V, with the “V” indicating that it is a Viair brand tank.

Air Filter & Filter Housing

(CP-FH-VP14)

The Air Filter Housing Unit shown in the picture is a Viair 1/4" Remote Air Filter Housing, part number CP-FH-VP14-R14. The "CP" stands for compressor part, the "FH" stands for filter housing, the "VP14" stands for Viair plastic 1/4 inch and the "R14" stands for remote 1/4 inch as this filter housing has the ability to be remotely mounted. The replacement filter that goes inside the housing for that compressor is the Viair Donut Air Filter Element. that can be purchased on our site in a 5-pack. The part number for that pack of filters would be CP-FE-VP1. The "CP" stands for compressor part, the "FE" stands for filter element, and the "VP1" would stand for Viair plastic and style one of the two styles available for that part.

Air Fittings

(FT-***)

An example of a common fitting in many of our kits would be our 1/2" NPT to 1/2" PTC fitting used to connect the 1/2" airline to your air tank and valve. It has an NPT thread on one end to plumb into the tank and a PTC connection on the other end to accept 1/2" airline. The part number for our 1/2" NPT to 1/2" PTC fitting is FT-8M8. The "FT" in the part number indicates that it is a fitting. The first "8" would indicate that the NPT side is 1/2". The "M" would indicate that the NPT side is male and not female. The second "8" would indicate the PTC end is also 1/2".

Air Compressor

(AC-485K)

The part number for the Viair 485C stealth black air compressor shown in the picture is AC-485K. "AC" stands for air compressor and indicates that it is a single compressor. We also carry dual packs that would come with two compressors. The part number for a dual pack of Viair 485C stealth black air compressors would be DC-485K. “DC” would indicate that it is a pack of dual compressors. The numbers "485" would denote the model of air compressor. If the compressor has a black finish, that would be denoted in the part number with the letter “K”.

Air Pressure Gauge

(GA-HB200)

The air gauge shown in the picture is our 2" 250 PSI HornBlasters Gauge. The air gauge on the system is used to determine what the air pressure is inside of your tank and can be very helpful for troubleshooting if you ever have issues with your system. The part number for this gauge is GA-HB200. The "GA" in the part number indicates that it is an air gauge. The "HB" in the part number stands for HornBlasters and indicates that it is our brand air gauge. The "200" in the part number indicates that the gauge is 2 inches in diameter.

Air Line

(AL-8H)

The airline shown in the picture is our 1/2" DOT airline. The part number for this airline would be AL-8H-10. The letters “AL” in the part number stand for air line. The number “8” indicates that the size of the airline is 1/2" in diameter. Once again, the letter "H" identifies it as a HornBlasters brand air hose. The "10" in the part number indicates that it is cut 10 feet in length. Our airline can be custom cut to any length you need. The length of the airline is indicated at the very end of the part number. In this case, the “10” would indicate that the airline is 10 feet in length.

This digital gauge allows you to view the PSI from the comfort of your driver's seat...no need to crawl underneath your vehicle to check the PSI on the tank.

Electric Drain Valve Kit

(AM-D04K)

The electric drain valve kit allows you to drain your tank with the push of a button, instead of of getting underneath your vehicle to release the moisture manually. The "AM" stands for air management, and the D04K stands for the drain kit ("D04K"= 1/4 inch port).
