Want to know how our part numbers work? Below you will find a comprehensive explanation of how each of the part numbers for each part is created. The main components for our most popular kits, as well as our most popular accessories, are listed with their corresponding part number and a breakdown of how that part number is read.

Horn Kits

(HK-S4-244K-STDDK)

All of our horn kits follow the same format of HK-(Horn)-(Tank Size)(Compressor Model)-(Installation Bracket). The train horn kit shown in the photo above is our Conductor’s Special 244K train horn kit. The "HK" in the part number indicates that it is a horn kit. The first two letters of our part number will always tell you what kind of product it is. Other examples are "AH" for air horn ( just the horn by itself) and "HA" for HornAir (onboard air systems). The "S4" in the part number identifies the horn as our Shocker XL train horn. In our full kits, the second section of the part number will tell you what kind of horn is in the kit. Other examples are "K5LA" for the Nathan AirChime train horn and "C3B" for our Outlaw Black train horn. The "2" in 244K tells you that it is a 2-gallon kit. The "444K" identifies the compressor in the kit as the Viair 444K air compressor, with the (K) indicating that this compressor comes in a black finish (also known as our Nightmare Edition). All of our horn kits follow the same format of HK-(Horn)-(Tank Size)(Compressor Model)-(Installation Bracket). Adding accessories to the kit would also change the part number. For example, the part number for this kit with all optional accessories added on would be HK-S4-244KAEWR-STDDK. As you can see, after 244K there are additional letters that denote the accessories it comes with. "A" stands for our tire inflation kit, "E" stands for our electric drain valve kit, and "WR" stands for our wireless remote. The letters "STDDK" indicate that this kit comes with our spare tire dual delete bracket.

Onboard Air Systems

(HA-***)

Our onboard air systems follow a very similar format to our horn kits. The onboard air system shown in the picture above is our HornAir 244K onboard air system. The part number for this kit is HA-244K. As always, the first letters in the part number will tell you what kind of product it is. In this case, “HA” stands for HornAir indicating that this is a HornBlasters brand onboard air system. The “2” in the part number indicates that this system has a 2-gallon tank and the “44” in the part number tells you that it runs a Viair 444C air compressor. The “K” at the end of the part number indicates that the compressor comes in a black finish (also known as our Nightmare Edition). Just like our horn kits, adding on accessories to the kit will change the part number. This kit with all available accessories would have the part number HA-244KAE. The “A” would indicate that the kit comes with our tire inflation kit, and the “E” tells you that it comes with our electric drain valve kit.

The first two letters of our part number will always tell you what kind of product it is. Other examples would be AH (air horn) for just the horn by itself and (HA) HornAir for our onboard air systems. The (S4) in the part number identifies the horn as our Shocker XL train horn. In our full kits, the second section of the part number will tell you what kind of horn the kit has. Other examples would be (K5LA) for the Nathan AirChime train horn and (C3B) for our Outlaw Black train horn. The (2) in 244K would tell you that it is a 2-gallon kit and (444K) identifies the compressor in the kit as a Viair 444K air compressor, with the (K) indicating that this compressor comes in a black finish (also known as our Nightmare Edition). All of our horn kits follow this same format of HK-(Horn)-(Tank Size)(Compressor Model)-(Installation Bracket). Adding accessories to the kit would also change the part number.
