Take your time, plan fitment, and install by the book so your Conductor's Special outlasts the vehicle it goes on.
Your boxes finally arrived and you can't wait to get the horns on. As much as you want to rush into a neighborhood test run, taking your time and following the instructions is the best way to make sure the kit lasts. Plan where each piece will fit before you force anything into place — rushing and cramming components is a sure way to damage the kit or make maintenance harder later.
Keep these install points in mind for the tank, compressor, valve, and horns.
Your air tank can be positioned any way that fits best, but install the drain cock on the bottom-most port so moisture drains properly.
HornBlasters tanks include ports on the top, bottom, ends, and side so you can drain correctly no matter how you orient the tank. If moisture cannot drain over time, it will find its way into the horns and other components and can lead to failure.
The compressor is the heart of the system. Mount it upright so heat dissipates quickly and the unit stays efficient over time.

The electric air valve is closed by default and opens when it receives power. The most common mistake is installing it backward.
Inline valves are directional. Look for the arrow on the valve body and point it toward the horns (direction of airflow). Installed backward, the valve will not seal fully and the horns may hum constantly.
Shocker trumpets are individually mountable and can be separated for fitment. Face them in any direction, and mount each bell securely.
The kit includes enough air line to run each bell about 2.5 feet from the solenoid and the valve about 17 feet from the tank. Spread the bells farther than 2.5' and you will need extra line. These horns can reach up to 147.4 dB @ 150 PSI.
Assemble and install the Conductor's Special 2-gallon air tank with proper fitting placement for optimal performance.
