What makes the noise
Scroll and the horn comes apart. Four pieces do the work, and only one of them needs power.
The diaphragm
A spring-steel disc sits behind the bell. Everything you hear starts here, and it is why the note rises and falls instead of holding one flat tone.
The cogwheel
The wheel turns against the diaphragm. How fast it turns sets the pitch, which is why the honk climbs on the way in and drops on the way out.
The motor
A 12V motor spins the cogwheel against the diaphragm, and that is what makes the sound. There's no compressor and no air. It draws 2 to 4 Amps and runs off the 30 Amp 4 Pin Relay in the box.

What is an Oogah horn?
It is the horn people call an ahooga horn, the one every car had in the 1920s. Instead of a tone, you get that rising and falling honk. The note comes from a spring-steel diaphragm working against a rotating cogwheel inside the housing.
Does it need an air tank or a compressor?
No. It doesn't use air at all. A 12V motor spins a cogwheel against a spring-steel diaphragm to make the sound, so there is no tank to mount, no air line to run and nothing to plumb. Connect it to a 12V source and it honks.
How is it wired?
A 30 Amp 4 Pin Relay comes in the box along with mounting hardware. Battery power runs through the relay to the horn, so the horn button only has to switch the relay. The horn itself draws 2 to 4 Amps on a 12V system.
Will it fit my vehicle?
If it runs on 12 volts and you have room for the horn, yes. The horn is 9″ (228.6 mm) long, 4″ (101.6 mm) across the bell and weighs 1.5 lbs (0.68 kg), so measure that space behind the grille or under the hood before you order.
What is the difference between Stealth Black and Chrome?
