Henry’s 2004 GMC Sierra 1500 Regular Cab is a perfect example of how serious horn enthusiasts adapt and upgrade to keep the sound alive—no matter the lifestyle. Originally mounted in the toolbox, Henry's Shocker XL Train Horn Kit found a new home when he transitioned from towing a 5th wheeler to adventuring with a Bigfoot camper.
To make room, he relocated the compressor and expansion tank to the right front corner of the truck bed, drilled through for the high-pressure air line, and mounted the Shocker XL horns directly on the frame, facing forward. Not only did this keep the horns intact during camper mode—but according to Henry, they now sound even louder than before.
Whether he's cruising or camping, these horns are an essential part of the experience—and they’re turning heads everywhere he goes.

A WORD FROM THE OWNER
Yep, its been quite a while and I have since mounted the horns in a different location; Sold my 5th wheeler and bought a Bigfoot camper. With the camper, I have to remove my toolbox, so I would loose the whole horn installation. I can't live without these horns in RV-mode, anymore. So, I moved the compressor and expansion tank to the right front side of the truck bed, drilled a hole for the high pressure line and mounted the horns on the frame, right under it. Horns are getting dirty now but facing forward, they seem to sound even louder. Everyone I talk to, who hears them, wants them too!
Have a nice day!
