Size both to the compressor's rated amps and it'll pull full power for years.

What does duty cycle mean on an air compressor?

Duty cycle is how long a compressor can run before it has to rest and cool, given as a percentage at a set pressure and temperature. A 50% rating runs half the time and rests half. A 100% rating is the highest. Here's what trips people up though: 100% doesn't mean it runs forever. Our compressors are rated 100% at 100 PSI but drop to 50% at 200 PSI, because higher pressure and heat eat into that runtime.
