Just finished installing.
I have to say that it’s impressive. I think it scared all the mosquitoes out of my neighborhood. All my neighbors came outside to see what was going on. Lol
I have a Dually, so my truck came with two extra spares. I went with the spare tire delete kit. Installation wasn’t too bad. It’s a good design and saves time. I put the unit together in approximately 3 hours. Wiring took a little longer (as with every project like this). There’s 50 ways to wire this. Hornblasters provided all the electrical wiring you need, but I took a little different road, i used a 30 amp relay. I wanted to keep the higher amperage items (20 amp) separate and on its own supply (safer too). I didn’t use the switches provided… I used flush stainless steel, pushbutton momentary, and latching switches with the halos. I put the key activated power line on a switch and kept my stock horn. Looks nice if I do say so myself.
Overall, I’m pretty impressed and would recommend to a friend.
“TruckMaster” on, YouTube had a few of these episodes installing a set on one of his trucks…… after watching those, I had to “gimme” some. I have to say they’re much better in person. Exceeded my expectation.
