Before you buy

Do I need an air compressor or tank?
No. This is a complete onboard system. The 120 PSI air source unit (compressor and tank) is included and pre-assembled, so the kit makes its own air. You bolt it in and wire it up.
How many honks do I get per fill?
A full tank holds about 5 seconds of honk (4 to 5 on the Non-Weather Resistant system, 6 to 7 on the Weather Resistant). That is total air time, so spend it however you want: one long honk, or a whole string of quick honks. The tank then tops back up from 90 to 120 PSI in roughly 35 seconds.
What's the difference between the two air systems?
Both use the same stealth-black 2-chime horns. The Non-Weather Resistant system uses the AC-M3 3-liter compressor and tank combo. The Weather Resistant system uses the 127H 1.5-gallon unit with a weather-sealed compressor and a 6-foot snorkel kit, for longer honk time and real-world durability.
Will it fit my vehicle?
The kit is designed for 12V vehicles including trucks, SUVs, cars, RVs and boats. The compact air source makes it well suited to tighter installs.
How should I mount the air source?
Mount the tank and compressor in the upright position, in an enclosed space away from moisture, dirt and debris. These tank-mounted compressors are not fully sealed, so following the mounting guidance protects the system and your warranty.

To keep your warranty:

  • Both kits: never detach the compressor from the tank. Need a detached-compressor setup? See our 232 and higher models.
  • 3-liter (Non-Weather Resistant) only: its tank-mounted compressor is not fully sealed, so mount it upright in an enclosed space, away from moisture, dirt and debris. The Weather Resistant (127H) unit is weather-sealed and is not subject to this mounting rule.
