Loud is safe

They are great quality and loud, as a truck driver, that’s what you need. Install was easy, and only took maybe 45 minutes. The part that took most of that was drilling the holes in 1/4 inch steel. Took off the electric air valve so I could hook it up to use my pull cord.

Great Sound, but, They are big!

Took a little effort to find a good location to mount under my motorhome! Wanted a location where nothing touches the horns. But, after mounting, they are high quality and sound awesome! Installed with a direct 1/4" one touch fitting, pushing about 130psi. Have a air supply, big rig pull cable and valve from the old air horn on my motorhome. Freightliner M2-106 Chassis.

Rhino Horns on my 5 Ton

Just installed a set of the Rhino horns on my 5 Ton Army Truck. Using the trucks onboard air system with 130psi of air these horns are crazy loud! Way better then I even imagined. I'd give them more then 5 stars if I could.

Are these able to work without the electric solenoid and run them from a half inch valve and at 125psi on a truck ?

Hello, Yes, this would work fine. If you do choose to do this, the thread where the electric solenoid is BSPT so do not use NPT style fittings for replacing it.

I have this rhino train horn installed and was operational for about 6 months but I believe that 12-24 volt air valve has failed. Can you please recommend a solid replacement?

This train horn will require an air compressor to work properly.

I have the rhino and was wondering if switching to a 1/2 inch airline and swapping the solenoid is possible and if so, will it increase the performance at all. If the solenoid can be swapped do you sell it on your website?

I would not recommend switching out the solenoid valve on this horn. We do not sell an alternative valve for this horn.

If you wanted to use a different valve, you would need to source a fitting for the horn to accept 1/2" air line. The horn itself has a 1/4" BSP port.

Also wanted to know what the max pressure for this horn is. Could I use a viair 200 psi tank with this horn? This is regardless of the airline width.

We recommend running a maximum of 150 PSI to this horn. If you run more than 150 PSI, the tone starts to change and can squeak in some cases. You could run a 1/2" line to this horn however the solenoid valve would have to be removed and replaced with a new fitting to accept air line.

The inlet port size on this horn is 1/4" BSP.
