The Shocker XL train horns that are the staple of this train horn kit are some of the loudest horns you can buy. In fact, the only horns louder than the Shocker XL train horns are the authentic train horns we sell and they are only a couple of decibels apart. Our Shocker XL train horns are also hand-tuned to US train horn chord specifications, meaning you are getting the same power and tone as a real locomotive. Constructed from an ultra-durable fiberglass-reinforced ABS composite with stainless-steel diaphragm and backed by a lifetime warranty against manufacturer defects, the Shocker XL horns are just as reliable as they are loud.
Horns of this caliber deserve an onboard air system that can keep up and our Conductor’s Special 2485K does that and then some. Equipped with our stealth-black 2-gallon air tank and Viair’s latest and greatest compressor, the 485C, our Conductor’s Special 2485K provides up to 7 seconds of blast time and has the fastest recharge time of any of our kits, clocking in at only 50 seconds! Not only is this system incredibly fast, but our Conductor’s Special 2485K is a truly constant duty system with a 100% duty cycle up to 200 PSI, meaning you get an incredibly fast workhorse of a system able to handle any pneumatic jobs you can throw at it.

After months of YouTube watching, gathering opinions, and comparing prices I went with HornBlasters 2485K Nightmare Horn kit with dual tanks on a spare tire delete bracket. I have never hooked up tanks before so this was my very first attempt at install. The bracket fit perfectly on my lifted F-350 SRW. The horns hang a little lower than the spare did but still not obvious as they sit behind the tow hitch. Mounting everything to the tanks and bracket was simple enough, every part needed was supplied. The wiring diagram was a little confusing, but anyone with deductive reasoning and simple electrical knowledge could figure it out. Total install took me about 4.5 hours, but I am also a perfectionist. I plan on re reviewing this product after having it on for 6 months or so, but I have no worries! Thank you HornBlasters!
Ordered them Friday, got them Monday. Easy instructions and easy install. Horns are crazy loud and well worth the money spent.
I finally found some time to put together and install my train horns. I got the works, dual tanks, digital gauge in cab, analog gauge on tanks, electronic drain from cab, and extension kit. It was straight forward to put together with the instructions. I wired the ACC wire to a button on my 8-button fuse block control panel. So I can turn it on and off myself and not every time my ignition turns on. It worked first time I ran it. There were no issues. The first time I heard it, I was really speechless. I was really impressed. I LOVE THE HORNBLASTERS TRAIN HORNS !!! I bought the spare tire delete mount since I don't use my spare location any way in my new Tundra TRD Pro with 37 tires. My spare is in the bed. It's a perfect setup. I must say the horns sound just like the Southern Pacific locomotives that come by about a mile away from me as I lay in bed at 5:00 am most mornings. When I blow my HORNBLASTERS horns, I feel the sound as well as hear it! Incredible! Get some!!
