Very loud and definitely fun! Take your time to install!

Overall I love the horn. It took a while to install but I was being cautious about where I put everything. Mine is on my 1982 Ford Econoline (along with the Dixie Horn). The wiring diagram is pretty simple as long as you have beginners experience or better with wiring something. I was able to mount the horn underneath the van and have the air compressor mounted inside. I wired it with the on/off switch to the factory horn. With it off, just the factory horn blows. With it on, well, it’s LOUD.

How well will this hold up in winter temps arpud 0 -1 degrees? Can the compressor be place in the truck bed wit a cover on it ? Will it still work wit temps like that ?

Hello, Thanks for reaching out to us. Yes, this system will work well under a truck bed cover. As long as you drain the tanks often of moisture, they tend to hold up just well. If they start to have a good bit of water being pushed through them, some of the parts will freeze closed, but once they thaw out they will work as new. Thanks!

How does this stand up to against snow and more importantly, salt? Is it safe to wash the undercarriage of the truck with the horn at a power wash station?

This horn is loaded with stainless steel internals. It won't have a problem with moisture or salt, however, the compressor CANNOT go outside the vehicle. It MUST be in an enclosed area.

Would this fit a 2016 Chevy Colorado under everything without taking out the spare tire? Would it fit all under the Colorado?

Hi there! If you're looking to mount the tank and compressor under the vehicle, I recommend not going with the Outlaw 127H as their compressors are not weather resistant and won't withstand wet weather conditions. The compressor/tank is meant to stay together as one piece and and you can mount them in an enclosed area like the toolbox or the bed if it's covered. It is not sealed and would not last if mounted outside the vehicle. As long as you can get the tank somewhere enclosed, it should work out really well for your application. But if you want to install a train horn underneath your truck, in the spare tire location, you can go with any of our Conductor Specials instead like our CONDUCTOR'S SPECIAL 232 TRAIN HORN KIT.

Do I need a wireless remote? On the description it says to get the most out of the hit get the remote. Should I get the remote or no?

Hi, Thanks for reaching out. The only difference if you do not have the remote is that you can't activate the Horns if you are away from your vehicle, other than that performance is still the same.
